A new scheme is teaching driving instructors how to deal with anger management so they can show their young learner pupils how to avoid road rage.
The course will teach motorists relaxation techniques, breathing and positive thinking.According to the AA these methods will help learners to relax and be calmer drivers. Road rage is an increasing cause of accidents, so more careful drivers should lead to less car accidents and cheaper car insurance premiums for young drivers.
Relaxation techniques can help young drivers beat pre-test nerves by repeating positive phrases and learning to tense and relax different muscles in order to face their big day in a more confident frame of mind. Once they have obtained their licence, if they can then progress to their pass plus with the same relaxed attitude they are on the path to being
safer drivers and obtaining young driver car insurance discounts.
