Learner Drivers Need to be Eco Friendly

As if learner drivers didn't have enough to worry about, there are plans to introduce a new aspect of the driving test. The question is how eco friendly are you when driving your car? Yes we know it sounds a little silly, but plans are underway to use driving style as an assessment criterion for learner drivers taking their test.

A driver who repeatedly revs the engine, brakes hard or drives in an inefficient manner could fail their tests. Instructors should explain to their pupils how to increase their fuel economy by avoiding hard revving, excessive braking and speeding (as if we could).
